4. BİLİM VE TEKNOLOJİYE KATKILAR

  1. Betonarme kesit hesabinda “Tasima Gücü Yöntemi”ni ülkemize uyarlayarak benimsenmesini saglamak.
  2. Ülkemizde ilk Yapi Mekanigi Laboratuvari’ni kurarak, betonarmede deneysel arastirmaya öncülük etmek.
  3. Davranisa dayali betonarme ögretisini baslatmak ve bunun diger üniversitelerce de benimsenmesini saglamak.
  4. 1984’te Türk Betonarme Sartnamesini (TS-500) kökten degistirerek, betonarme hesabina çagdas bir yaklasim getirmek.
  5. Betonarmede burulma konusunda yeni ve gerçekci bir çözüm olan “Etkilesim Teorisi”ni gelistirmek (Bu teori 1970’de ABD, daha sonra da Türk Yönetmeliklerinde benimsenmistir).
  6. Yaptigi sistem deneyleri sonunda, burulma hesabinda büyük donati ekonomisi saglayan “Denge Burulmasi” yaklasimini olusturmak. (A.B.D. ve Türk Yönetmeliklerinde benimsenmistir.)
  7. Depremde hasar görmüs yapilarin onarim/güçlendirmesinde 1969’da deneysel çalismalara baslayarak bu konuda uluslararasi platformda öncüler arasinda yer almak.
  8. Betonarme yapilarin depreme karsi onarim ve güçlendirilmesinde yeni teknikler gelistirmek ve bunlarin etkili ve ekonomik oldugunu deneylerle kanitlamak. Dolgulu çerçeve teknigi ile “Sistem Iyilestirmesi” otuz yil süren deneysel arastirmalar sonunda olgunlastirilmistir.
  9. Mevcut binalarin, kullanimi engellemeden güçlendirilmesini saglayan yöntemler gelistirmek (CFRP veya öndöküm plakalarla).
